We took the kids camping this Spring. I was a little bit nervous, especially since my idea of camping is the nearest hotel!! But I really want my kids to appreciate the outdoors, so I am determined to learn to love and embrace camping!! And, honestly...I had a great time! The kids loved it even more than me.
I took this picture within 20 minutes of stepping out of the car. Thank goodness for wipies!! (but such a cute face...even covered in dirt!!)

In the morning, we took the kids on a hike! It was so fun since we were just pluggin' along without a trail...or any real sense of direction!!
The view sure beats a desert filled with cactus (I know...that's practically blaspheme coming from an AZ girl!!)
I'm thinking that me and this whole camping thing may actually work out after all!!!

Yes, that really is a rockin' tent. It must have taken an hour to put up!
