On A Lighter Note...

I enjoy thinking deeply on things...but as the mother of 3 young kids- I can only take so much serious. So I thought that I would pay fast tribute to my quickly aging father- who just celebrated his 57th birthday. If you don't happen to know my dad- he is not just wonderful...he is FANTASTIC (as can be said for both my parents...I know, I'm a lucky girl!). But in his honor- I feel the need to share one of his most classic (and loved) stories...which also shares a valuable lesson about Fatherhood.

As we kids were growing up, my mom was always the one who woke up with the babies (my dad could sleep through anything). But one night, she was especially exhausted and my dad was aware of that. So in the middle of the night, when the baby started to cry- my mom began to get up. Feeling her start to stir, my dad woke and told her that he would get the baby. So, he sleepily climbed out of bed...and walked straight into the closed door. After which, despite the exhaustion, my mom thought it safer to take over herself.

Lesson learned...be wary of fathers+babies+late nights. It can be a dangerous combination. I love you dad. You are truly amazing!!
